Somatic support for your nervous system, your life, and your deepest hopes.
Body-centred mentoring and practices to help you stay grounded, resourced, and able to keep tending what matters most.
If you're here, you're likely carrying more than feels sustainable.
Your body holds the stories of your care, creativity and conviction. It remembers the storms you've weathered, the projects you've poured your heart into, the people you've shown up for.
But over time, even the work we love can become heavy. Our nervous system wasn't built for constant output and urgency. Our bodies need seasons of rest and restoration, not just productivity.
Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t need to be tougher or more resilient. You need a different way of being with what's here.
Somatic practice offers a pause and an invitation – to return to the wisdom of the body as a compass for sustainable change.
The way we move through this world shapes the one we’re creating.
Every time you choose presence over pressure, renewal over relentlessness, you're not just healing yourself – you're shifting something in your relationships, your work, and the collective field we all share. This isn't self-work for its own sake, it's how we sustain the work of building a better world.
Your body holds wisdom. Your nervous system holds capacity. Together, they sustain the work that matters most.
Somatic mentoring is body-led support that honours both nervous system science and your body's intuitive wisdom. I call it the science and the soul – and I believe one is incomplete without the other.
We work gently and at your pace. Some sessions are quiet and reflective, others involve movement, sound, creative exploration. The work is trauma-informed and shaped by what is revealed in each moment.
We begin in the body, but the ripples expand outwards into your choices, your relationships, your work, and the systems you move within.
ABOUTHello, I’m Shannon
Before stepping into this work, I spent more than a decade in the design world, helping not-for-profits and social enterprises tell stories that moved people to care. That chapter taught me just how much heart it takes to do meaningful, world-building work, and how quietly we can lose touch with ourselves along the way.
Today, I bring the same spirit of collaboration and curiosity into my somatic practice. I walk alongside changemakers, community-shapers, carers, creatives and campaigners as they learn to listen inwards, soften old patterns, and rediscover what supports their engagement and vision.

MODALITIESThe science and the soul of somatic work.
I draw on three streams of somatic practice and an eco-somatic model of occupational therapy. Together these modalities offer guidance for how to listen more deeply to your body’s wisdom, soften the patterns shaped by stress or survival, and return to a steadier rhythm of ease and possibility.
-
Informed by positive psychology, neuroscience and embodied practice, this approach reunites the thinking mind with the feeling body. It helps translate self-awareness into choices that feel aligned with your values and your nervous system’s capacity, so that clarity becomes something you can live, not just think about.
-
Stress lives in the body, and shapes our breath, posture and ability to be present. This trauma-informed method helps release what’s been held and restores natural rhythm and resilience. As tension softens and awareness grows, the body remembers how to move and give, and rest and recover.
-
We each hold many inner parts – protectors, helpers, dreamers, survivors. This gentle, relational process, inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS), invites curiosity and compassion towards them all. Through embodied awareness and dialogue, these parts find safety and belonging. This fosters wholeness, emotional ease, and a deeper sense of belonging to yourself.
-
Originating from occupational therapy and developed in Japan, the Kawa Model views life as a flowing river, where health and wellbeing are shaped by relationships, life circumstances, and personal resources. This approach helps you explore what supports or blocks your flow, guiding practical and meaningful ways to move through life with balance, agency, and ease.
01
Curiosity Call
Our first connection is a 15-minute conversation where you can share what’s on your heart and ask me any questions. If it feels aligned, we can schedule your first session during this call.
02
Discovery Session
This is our starting point – a space to settle, set intentions and begin mapping the contours of our work together. We’ll explore what matters most to you and make a plan that honours your needs and your pace.
03
Ongoing Sessions
Continue in the way that suits you best. One session at a time, or in bundles of three or six – the frequency and rhythm are guided by what your body and attention are ready for.
This work is for anyone who finds themselves at a threshold.
Maybe the meaningful work you've been doing has started to feel unsustainable. Maybe something new is calling but you're not sure how to meet it. Either way, you're here because you want to keep contributing without depleting yourself in the process.
I work with changemakers, carers, creatives and community-builders who've been showing up for a long time and need support to keep going.
This space welcomes everyone – across all ages, backgrounds, cultures, identities and expressions. If you're committed to meaningful change and need support to sustain it, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
Echoes of
this practice —
“Shannon has an extraordinary ability to cultivate a nurturing and empowering space where you can explore deep into your inner self.”
Julia Apanasevica
“Shannon’s gentle guidance, her ability to hold space from afar and her wealth of knowledge were invaluable to me while I pursued my creative practice full time in a foreign country. I am forever grateful.”
Maggie Johnson
“I’ve found sessions incredibly helpful – I have taken these practices into the day to day and am making them part of the fabric of my life. Truly incredible.”
Bo Wong
“Working with Shannon has been amazing. I have worked with many practitioners across several modalities, but Shannon’s work is not like anything I’ve experienced before. I can’t recommend her enough.

Sessions are offered on an income-sensitive scale of $130–$160. You’re invited to select the rate that best reflects your current capacity, no explanation needed. This approach is inspired and informed by The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice.
-
Somatic work is therapeutic, but it’s not psychotherapy. Think of it as a complement: where talk therapy engages the mind, somatics engages the body’s wisdom. Many people find the two approaches work beautifully side by side.
-
You can begin by booking a short curiosity call – a relaxed, no-pressure chat to see if this work feels right for you. From there, we’ll decide together on the best next step, whether that’s one session or a longer series.
-
A couple of sessions may bring insight and relief, while deeper change takes time and gentle consistency. After a curiosity call, you’re welcome to begin with one session and see how it feels, or to book a bundle of three or six.
-
At the moment all sessions are held online, so you can join from the comfort of your own space. This makes the work accessible while still being intimate and grounded. In-person sessions in Fremantle are on the horizon.
-
Absolutely. Somatic practice meets you where you are, in whatever way feels possible – seated, lying down, or simply noticing what’s present. Living with neurodivergence and chronic pain myself, I bring lived understanding to hold space with flexibility, care, and respect for your unique nervous system.
Reach out when
you’re ready —
There’s no rush. Take your time here. Read, feel, notice what lands. Your body will let you know when it’s time to begin.
If that time is now, the first step is a curiosity call.
